About the position

Our progressive team at PKF Limited are passionate about helping our clients to develop, improve and grow their business as well as delivering high-quality, efficient compliance service. We are looking for a Admin & Accounting Assistant to join our Tauranga office to be responsible for allocated administration and accounting functions as well as being back up to our Office Manager for reception.

The job involves: 

  1. Administration
    1. Resolutions and minutes
    2. Preparation and monitoring of jobs
    3. Document scanning
    4. System maintenance
    5. Marketing documentation
  2. Accounting assistant
    1. Assist with preparation of financial statement and income tax returns
    2. Assist with preparation of GST returns
    3. Assist with workpapers
  3. Cover for the Office Manager when away
    1. Reception – located here when Office Manager away
    2. Finalising of financial accounts
    3. IRD payment queries
    4. Company formation

 

The successful applicant will have:

  • No formal qualifications are required for this position, however partial or completed studies in Accounting or Business Administration would be highly beneficial;
  • Experience in using client accounting packages (eg Xero, Banklink, Figured would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of and experience working with social media and marketing platforms would be an advantage;
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and WordExperience in a marketing administration role would be an advantage;
  • Flexibility to adapt your working day to support colleagues and clients;
  • Timeliness, accuracy, responsibility, attention to detail.

Hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5pm (40 hours per week).
