Professional Experience

Stevan Chand, hailing from the Fiji Islands, boasts an impressive academic and professional background in accounting and economics. Holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting and Economics, Stevan kickstarted his career at BDO Fiji Ltd, where he excelled as an external auditor, progressing from a Graduate Trainee to an Audit Senior over a span of 3.5 years.

Motivated by a desire for new challenges, Stevan made the decision to relocate to New Zealand, joining the Deloitte Hamilton office as an Intermediate to Senior external Auditor, where he successfully served for 2 years. Transitioning to Isles Casey, he joined BDO Rotorua Ltd as a Senior Auditor, contributing his expertise for 1.5 years.

To broaden his professional horizons, Stevan shifted gears and ventured into the field of Business Advisory. At Deloitte, he assumed the role of Senior Consultant, providing valuable insights and guidance for 1.5 years. His next venture led him to the Christian Education Trust, where he served as the Financial and Management Accountant for the Group, showcasing his abilities for a period of 3 years. Returning to Deloitte in Rotorua, Stevan held the position of Business Advisory Manager for over a year, making significant contributions to the firm before joining PKF Tauranga.

Throughout his career, Stevan has engaged with diverse clients, demonstrating his passion for leveraging his skills and experience to support their growth and success. With expertise in budgeting and forecasting, advising on best practices for businesses, management accounting and reporting, farm accounting, and external financial reporting, his well-rounded skill set has proven invaluable.

Stevan is a Chartered Accountant (CAANZ) and actively serves as a committee member in the Bay of Plenty region. Beyond his professional pursuits, he maintains an active lifestyle, and enjoys sports
