Covid-19 August 2021 Update

From today and in line with the Ministry of Health and Government guidelines our team will be working remotely from home.   We expect to be able to continue to provide you with the same level of service as always.

If you have a pre-booked meeting over the next few days, we will be in touch to either do this meeting electronically or to reschedule.

Our office phones are being monitored however the most efficient way to contact us over this time is via email.

We ask that if you have urgent client records to bring in, for either GST or annual accounts, you scan and email these to us.

Our team is committed to helping you with any queries that you may have regarding your business operations, financial considerations, and Government announcements etc.

At this stage we are hopeful that the lockdown will end on Friday night (unless you are based in Auckland or the Coromandel) however should it be extended, the Government have announced that the subsidies will be reinstated on Friday.   https://www.beehive.govt.nz/release/govt-triggers-business-support-following-covid-community-case

The Wages Subsidy Scheme:

The Wages Subsidy will be available if there’s a regional or national move to Alert Levels 3 and 4, for a period of seven days or more, and your business expects a loss of 40 per cent of revenue as a result of these level changes.

Eligible businesses can apply for:

  • $600 per full-time equivalent employee and $359 per week per part-time employee.

The COVID-19 resurgence support payment (RSP):

The Resurgence Support Payment is available if businesses incur a loss of 30 per cent of revenue as a result of the Alert Level increase. When the RSP is activated, eligible businesses and organisations can apply to receive the lesser of:

  • $1,500 plus $400 per full-time equivalent employee (FTE), up to a maximum of 50 FTEs
  • Four times (4x) the actual revenue decline experienced by the applicant.

More information will be available later today at:

Please keep an eye on our website and Facebook as we will keep these updated with relevant information.

Reminder also that provisional tax payments are due on 28th August.  If you have concerns around being able to make this payment, please get in touch with our team.

Take care everyone and hopefully we can move forward quickly.
